Remember the 90's tv show Sweet Valley High?
The teen comedy based on Francine Pascal's books about the life of blonde twins Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield living in Sweet Valley, California. Twin actresses Brittany and Cynthia Daniel starred in the hit tv series which aired for three seasons from 1994 to 1997.

Two decades after Sweet Valley High, the 41 year old twins are back with The Sweet Life - a California inspired lifestyle blog where balance meets beauty. Be inspired by Brittany and Cynthia's journey as they share their tips and advice on how to create a healthy, balanced and beautiful lifestyle.

Brittany: "Cynthia and I worked on Sweet Valley High years ago so coming back and working with my sister is amazing. She's my best friend."

The Sweet Life features everything from fashion and beauty to clean eating, fitness, personal growth and wellness to travel, home decor and parenting.

Cynthia: "We're trying to promote beauty within."
Brittany: "We're all about living our best life."

Together, they have navigated life's highs and low including family, fame and Brittany's battle with cancer. The sweet sisters have come together to share their journey toward their Sweet Life.

Cynthia.

After starring in Sweet Valley High, Cynthia retired from acting, became a professional photographer and founded Five Arrows Photography.

Cynthia: "I see beauty in pretty much everyone and everything. Nothing gives me more satisfaction then creating beautiful and soul filled pictures."

Cynthia has three beautiful children with husband, actor Cole Hauser - two sons Ryland and Colt, and a daughter Steely Rose.

Brittany.

Brittany continued her career as an actress starring in films including Joe Dirt, White Chicks and Skyline. She guest starred on hit TV shows including Dawson's Creek, Just Shoot Me and That 70's Show which lead to a starring role in That 80's Show. A few years later Brittany landed the lead role in the TV series The Game in 2006.

But after 5 years on the show, Brittany left after being diagnosed with stage IV non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She began chemotherapy and Brittany and her mom moved into sister Cynthia's Guest house, so she could be close to her family during her recovery.

Brittany: "It happened so suddenly. There is no way I would have ever gotten through this without my family. My family is everything to me and I feel like they saw me through this."

After her chemotherapy treatment and recovery, Brittany was cancer free in 2014 and returned to her show The Game for the final 2 seasons.

Although at first Brittany kept her cancer battle private only sharing with close friends and family. But now that she is healthy and cancer free, Brittany wanted to share her story to help others going through a similar situation.

Brittany: "I want to let people know it is absolutely possible to get through something like this. I want people to know they are not alone."

Summer Glow.

Being California girls (and admitted beauty junkies) Cynthia and Brittany love to have a nice golden glow all year round. In our Summer issue, the twins are sharing their Favourite Bronzing and Illuminating Products to help you transition your summer tan into Autumn.

Brittany's Tip: Remember when creating your perfect faux glow to apply your bronzer in light layers, and if possible, in natural light - You can always build up more, but it is hard to go backwards! Also, hitting the points on your face where the sun would naturally hit you will give you that beautiful post-sun glow.

The Sweet Life blog, youtube channel and their love for Instagram is certainly keeping them busy, but the sisters love spending time together.

Brittany: "I think that Cyn and I have so many interests that all go together perfectly. I think secretly we just want to spend more time together!"

Last year Brittany married Attorney Adam Touni in an urban chic style wedding in downtown Los Angeles. "My heart is exploding. The best day of my life when I married my best friend."

Of course, her twin Cynthia was by her side as Brittany's maid of honour.

Brittany: "I couldn't have gotten married without my original other half Cynthia by my side! Hopefully Adam realises that we come as a package deal."

California Girls.

Blondes just wanna have fun and these sisters are total California girls!

Brittany: "Cyn and I are total California girls. Living in Los Angels for so long, it's hard to imagine calling anywhere else home. One of my favourite coastal spots to spend a day is Venice Beach!"
