To celebrate Mother's Day this month, we're honouring three celebrity mums celebrating new bundles of joy this year. 

Jennifer Hawkins 

Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins welcomed her first child on October 17th, 2019. She announced the news by sharing a candid photo of herself lying in a hospital bed with her daughter Frankie resting her sleepy head on Jennifer's chest.

Jennifer: "Frankie Violet Hawkins Wall. Dream come true! So thankful to be holding our beautiful healthy baby girl! We couldn't be more in love."

She first broke the exciting news, she was expecting a baby girl with hubby Jake Wall last May. The couple have been married since 2013. 

Jennifer: "Frankie Violet came into the world so quickly!! Healthy baby girl after a natural birth. Best day of my life."

Jennifer recently celebrated her daughter's arrival with a cover photoshoot for Marie Claire magazine last month. In her candid interview she opens up about her fertility struggles revealing she experienced a heartbreaking miscarriage and was then diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis before Frankie was born. 

Jennifer: "There were moments when I honestly thought that I might not be able to have a baby. It was really difficult to even think that and I was scared to say it out loud." 

Last August Jennifer revealed in an exclusive interview with Stellar magazine, how her battle with endometriosis "almost broke" her.

Jennifer: "Last year was such a tough year for Jake and me. It was the toughest year of our lives. I felt like I almost broke and, in fact, it's still really raw. But Jake was amazing. He let me sit with the pain, feel it and not be OK."

Hawkins 2 year struggle to conceive, was an opportunity for personal growth and the experience has brought her so much gratitude for Motherhood and her daughter Frankie. 

Jennifer: "It's the best thing I've ever done. I feel more content than I've ever been."

Jenna Dewan 

Actress and Dancer Jenna Dewan welcomed her second child, a baby boy with fiancé Steve Kazee on March 6, 2020. 

Jenna made the announcement on Instagram sharing a black and white photo of her and Callum captured moments after his birth via cesarean section. 


Jenna: "And just like that, our hearts exploded into all of eternity and beyond. Welcome to the world you little angel! Callum Michael Rebel Kazee 3/6/20."

This is her first child with fiancé Steve Kazee. Jenna also shares a daughter, Everly with ex-husband Channing Tatum, who turns 7 on May 31st.  

The pair have been dating since 2018 and they announced their engagement in February after Steve popped the question at Jenna's baby shower.

Earlier this month Jenna shared intimate photos of her son Callum with People magazine and explained the meaning behind her son's name. Callum means "Dove" in Gaelic "because he has been so sweet and peaceful since landing in our arms". Michael is Steve's middle name and "Rebel" was chosen in honour of his mother Reba. 

Steve Kazee: "I wanted a way to honour my mother. Her name was Reba but from a very young age her father called her Rebel."

Jenna gave People magazine an exclusive look inside her dream Nursery for Callum, furnished by Pottery Barn Kids. 

Jenna: "It's bright, and it's comfy and it feels really warm in here. We wanted a calm, chic, neutral and Whimsical room to bring baby home to and they [Pottery Barn] delivered in every way."

Shay Mitchell 

Pretty Little Liars actress & entrepreneur Shay Mitchell celebrated the birth of her first child, Atlas Noa on October 20th, 2019.

The 33 year old millennial mum is adjusting to life with a new born with her partner, Candadian actor Matte Babel. 

Shay: "I've had to reprioritise my work time with her schedule, and that's been interesting for me. Before it was all about my schedule, now I work once she falls alseep." 

Shay connected with fellow mums on social media to make her transition into motherhood easier.  

Shay: "Being a new mum, it's all about supporting each other."

Before Atlas was born, Shay was an avid traveller. With a Youtube channel devoted to capturing her best moments including her vacations, which she cleverly nicknames 'Shaycations'. Shay also launched her own line of travel essentials Béis which includes chic and stylish luggage. 

Shay: "After countless trips and #Shaycations, I realised that I wanted to create amazing, affordable pieces for travellers like myself and - in turn - everyone inspired to seek new places, meet new people and share the world."

In January Shay gave Architectural Digest an exclusive look into glamorous 1920's Los Angeles home. The Tour included her daughter's room which features Atas's bras crib and black and white pictures of her parents. 

Shay: "These are all the photos that we had taken over the years while travelling. It's always wonderful to have lovely people but also to have places that you've been to. Especially, with her name being Atlas, it goes hand in hand with all these places that she's been already without her knowing."

Actress, Dancer, TV Host and Mother Jenna Dewan is our featured Eco Angel for December 2018. We first featured Jenna on the cover of our August 2012 issue. 6 years later Jenna is back front and centre - stronger, sassier, newly single and stepping up and into the spotlight.

This year has been a difficult one for Jenna Dewan - the Step Up actress announced her separation with husband and co-star Channing Tatum back in April. With fans heartbroken to hear the news that their favourite Hollywood couple taking some time apart, Jenna's personal life was thrust into the spotlight like never before. 

Jenna: "It's challenging to go through a big change and have the whole world have an opinion about it." 

Jenna and Channing first met in 2006 when they auditioned for the dance flick Step Up. Their steamy chemistry was not just on-screen, the couple started dating after filming wrapped and quickly became the cutest and quite possibly Hollywood's most good looking couple since Brad and Jennifer. 

They married in 2009 and four years later their daughter Everly Tatum was born on May 31, 2013.

As the couple move forward as single parents, their #1 priority is co-parenting 5 year old daughter Everly. 

Jenna: "It's been a journey, and it's been transformation of myself - my needs and wants as a woman. I think everyone wants to hold on to what's in front of them, nut when you open your mind, saying, 'I want what's best for myself and my daughter,' you have to be okay with however that looks."

As they say, when one door closes another one opens. Jenna's next opportunity was a guest starring role on the FOX tv show The Resident. Jenna joined the cast early this year and debuted as sharp and sophisticated medical rep Julian Booth when the show returned for Season 2 in October. 

Jenna's triumphant return to TV was welcomed by fans. After her successful recurring role as Lucy Lane on Supergirl (Season 1) and two cancelled tv shows Witches of East End and The Playboy Club - fans were eager to see Jenna on their tv screens again. 

Her courageous and confident character Julian caused quite a stir featuring in 7 episodes of The Resident this year, including an onscreen love affair with Doctor Devon Pravesh played by actor Manish Dayal.

This year also saw Jenna return to the stage as host of the popular NBC series World of Dance along with three expert judges Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough and NE-YO. World of Dance is a reality tv show, where dancers representing all styles of dance compete for a $1 million grand prize. 

Despite the success of the show, and after 2 years hosting, Jenna announced in October that she will not be returning for World of Dance Season 3 as host.  

Jenna: "To my World of Dance lovers! I will not be returning for to the show as host for season 3. But I won't be able to stay away for long, and plan to return to mentor contestants as much as possible. It has been an absolute thrill to be part of this incredible, groundbreaking show from the very beginning, and I am forever grateful to my NBC family, JLO, Derek Hough, NEYO and everyone involved in this journey. We are changing dance world and giving opportunities to dancers in ways I've only dreamed of! Much love to everyone." 


Summer is heating up, with a sexy new collection of dance essentials. After 2 years as the face of Danskin apparel, Jenna Dewan is stepping up her role from brand ambassador to fashion designer with the launch of her first capsule collection; Jenna Dewan x Danskin. 

Jenna: "I created this collection to move with women in everything they do."

As a self confessed Hippie, Jenna loves crystals for healing, eating a vegan diet, using clean and cruelty free beauty products and essential oils to improve her health and well being.

As a busy working mom, Jenna prefers a quick 10 minute makeup routine, and trusts Savvy Minerals clean and simple products because she says "there's nothing worse than being overdone."

With a new direction and drive to success Jenna is pursuing new projects and this year she  launched of her own production company Everhart Productions, named after her daughter Everly. 

She also wrapped two new films; The Wedding Year a new romantic comedy co-starring Sarah Hyland and 'Berlin I Love You' which Jenna filmed earlier this year in Germany. 

Jenna: "There are so many fun projects and lots of irons in the fire. I'm lit up at the moment - there are so many wonderful opportunities. In this day and age, and knowing the nature and climate of the entertainment business, I believe that if you want to do something, you've got to make it [happen] yourself." 

Up next for Jenna is the new Netflix TV series Mix Tape. Jenna has signed on to star in this musical drama and will film the pilot, for a release in 2019.

This year was a challenging one, but through it all Jenna remained strong and resilient. 

Jenna: "People are like, 'How do you get through this?' I didn't run away from my feelings. I let myself cry I let myself grieve. This is one of those situations where I will see the light. The dawn is coming." 

And Jenna hasn't given up on love, just yet. 

Jenna: "I do believe in love still, but I also believe it begins with really digging deep and learning how to love yourself. And then I think you sort of transmute that out to attract the right partner. I think people who are meant to be sort of find each other."

With her new found freedom, coming into her own and experiencing so much personal growth, Jenna is ready to take on a new year. 

Jenna: "I feel I've been on a wave of growth. It does look different; it's a new normal, and I really think we'll get used to that."  

Life looks alot different for Jenna in 2019 - with a new Netflix series, a new beauty brand partnership, a new clothing line and a new beau; Jenna is dancing into a new dawn.

KIND BEAUTY: Be Cruelty-Free Campaign

To celebrate the 2nd annual Be Cruelty Free week Eco Angel and actress Jenna Dewan-Tatum has teamed up with The Humane Society to promote a campaign to end cosmetic testing on animals. 

Being a passionate animal activist and vegan, Jenna was eager to be involved with this important campaign. 

"I am so honoured to work with The Humane Society to help end needless animal testing. Please help me make this change." - Jenna Dewan Tatum

Jenna's new simple and stunning Be Cruelty Free campaign image explains it all "Beauty shouldn't require animal testing." The Humane Society placed the ad on a huge billboard on Santa Monica Blvd, a busy shopping district in LA. The billboard will be up until March 31 to encourage people to choose cruelty-free beauty products as part of the campaign. 

Jenna features in a new behind the scenes video with celebrity photographer Don Flood to promote the campaign and explain why we need to ban needless animal testing in the cosmetics industry. Jenna lends her voice and her face to the cause.  

"I found it appalling that we are still testing on animals for cosmetics, for all sorts of products that we just absolutely don't need to be doing that anymore. I truly hope that in this day and age, the United States will follow other amazing countries that have already banned cosmetic testing. We as the global leader have not done that yet. That is absolutely disgusting to me."  - Jenna Dewan Tatum

Jenna's favourite cruelty-free beauty brands are Tarte and Josie Maran Cosmetics. "All the makeup I use is non-animal tested. Be conscious when you're buying cosmetics, please check the label and see if it says no animal testing. There are so many other ways to be doing this without involving and harming all these innocent animals." 

So how can we Be Cruelty Free? We can make a conscious effort to always check the labels and only buy products that are not tested on animals. We can also take action by supporting the Humane Cosmetics Act. The first-ever legislation to prohibit the manufacture and sale of animal-tested cosmetics which was recently introduced in the United States. If passed, the Humane Cosmetics Act would bring USA up to speed with a global trend that is moving away from animal tested cosmetics. Already in the US over 500 beauty and personal care product companies have adopted humane manufacturing policies and produce cruelty-free products, but there are still countless companies who continue to test on animals. So a change needs to be made. 

The Be Cruelty Free campaign is working toward the day when consumers will not need to check labels because all cosmetics will be safe and cruelty-free. So step up and join the campaign and Be Cruelty Free.

There is no shortage of new Celebrity Mums this year with more than 35 well known celebrities giving birth to new bundles of joy in 2013. So we thought it was best to get some words of wisdom from this year's hottest new moms, after all mother knows best. 

Jenna Dewan Tatum 

Jenna and husband Channing Tatum welcomed their first child, daughter Everly on May 31st 2013. She was born in London and the proud parents showed off their precious little angel with a beautiful family photo they shared via social media. 

Just a few months after giving birth Jenna appeared on the cover of Self Magazine showing off her hot post-baby body. She lost 33 pounds in just 2 months by following a vegetarian diet, working 12 hour days on the set of her new show Witches of East End and regular hip-hop workouts with her trainer.

Jenna: "My healthiest habit is being vegetarian. For lunch I'll have a salad with chickpeas [and] for dinner I'll have a bowl of beans, rice, corn, guacamole and salsa." Jenna is a professional dancer and says she hates cardio but says "dancing is fun". 

Her workouts are always fun and stress free. And Jenna says her husband loves her new curvier figure. 

Jenna: "Life shouldn't be about trying to get a perfect body. It should be about enjoying the moment and feeling good in your skin."  

 

Holly Madison

Former Playboy Playmate Holly Madison gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Rainbow Aurora on March 28th, 2013. "I couldn't be more blessed to have such a perfect daughter and have never been happier than I am now!" It's her first child with boyfriend Pasquale Rotella. Rainbow made her public debut in a series of glamorous portraits with Holly which featured in US Magazine. 

Holly explained why she chose the name Rainbow. 

Holly: "I wanted to give my daughter a unique name. Growing up, there was a girl in my school named Rainbow and I was so envious of that name. I thought it was so pretty and unique." 

Since Rainbow's arrival Holly has been enjoying motherhood. 

Holly: "Like all babies, she has her moments. But I'm so in awe of her that I even think her screams are cute!" 

Just a few months before announcing her pregnancy she told People magazine about her plans to start a family. 

Holly: "I've wanted kids and that's something I'm definitely doing as soon as possible." 

Madison lost 30 pounds of baby weight and appeared in Life and Style Magazine, just 6 weeks after giving birth. Holly's success with post baby weight loss was due to intense cardio sessions, portioned controlled meal plans and daily green smoothies. During her pregnancy she ate healthy even though she craved fast food. 

Holly: "Not that I didn't have cheat days or stop for Taco Bell driving home from the doctor. But I started paying attention to my eating habits because my baby's health was now dependent on it."

Jessica Simpson

Proud mama Jessica Simpson gave birth to a bouncing baby boy Ace in June 2013. "I'm so excited to have a son."  The delightful arrival of her second child with fiancé Eric Johnson means the world to Jessica. Mother to daughter Maxwell Drew who was born just 13 months before Ace. Jessica feels at peace being a mum.

Jessica: "With two kids, we have our hands full, but everyday is a new adventure." 

During her first pregnancy in 2012, Jessica appeared on the cover of Elle Magazine. 

Jessica signed a 4 million dollar deal with Weight Watchers, losing 40 pounds after the birth of her first baby in May 2012. 

Jessica admits that losing weight was a "challenge" because she felt alot of pressure from the media about her body size. 

Jessica: "I've had to really stay focused and focus on my diet and concentrate on what I'm putting in my body."

Shakira 

Colombian singer Shakira gave birth to her son Milan on January 22, 2013 in Barcelona, Spain. The new bundle of joy with her Spanish soccer star beau Gerard Piqué is her first child. 

During her pregnancy Shakira posed with Gerard in a beautiful photo shoot. The images were to promoted a baby shower which fans could make small donations to aid UNICEF, an organisation that helps children worldwide. Shakira has been a UNICEF ambassador for many years and says children and education are very important to her. 

The 36 year old judge on America's The Voice showed off her post baby body on the cover of Shape Magazine (September 2013). Shakira flaunts her sexy toned abs and those hips don't lie! She admits to enjoying Zumba classes to keep fit. 

Shakira: "I did Zumba throughout my pregnancy. That helped me not gain too much weight." 

We all wish, that it was just a matter of doing a few extra sit ups to lose the baby weight, but Shakira knows better. So she incorporated four to five morning workouts a week. 

Shakira: "Two minutes of ab work isn't enough." 

Even though Shakira enjoys working out she doesn't obsess over her body. 

Shakira: "I don't obsess over my flaws, because I see my body as a whole. Besides, I think men appreciate confidence more than perfection."

2014 will be another popular year for celebrity baby births with Megan Fox, Drew Barrymore, Olivia Wilde and Kate Winslet all due to give birth next year.
