ECO ANGEL: Emma Stone

Emma Stone Hollywood's It Girl
ECO ANGEL

Actress and Revlon Beauty Ambassador Emma Stone is this mont's featured Eco Angel.

Emma Stone returns to the big screen this month in one of the year's most anticipated movies The Amazing Spider-Man

You may surprised to learn that Emma Stone's really name is Emily Jean Stone and that she is actually a natural blonde! Although she is famous for her beautiful fiery red hair Emma returns to her natural blonde locks to play Gwen Stacey in The Amazing Spiderman.

Emma: "The truth is I am naturally blonde anyway. Everyone thinks I'm a redhead but that's just dyed. I'm actually enjoying being a blonde again It's been a while. Blondes do have more fun But sometimes I look in the mirror and still feel like I'm wearing a wig."

"I rely on my instincts and intuition, and I feel it's so imperative for people to follow not the path but their path."
Emma Stone

In this Spiderman reboot based on the popular comic book, Emma ditches her comedic funny girl persona a more mature as a super smart high school student and Oscorp intern. Emma admits she hadn't read the comic books growing up.

Emma: "There's a part of me that really wants to please people that love Spider-Man or Gwen Stacey and want her to be done justice. I hope they'll give me license to interpret her my way."

Her on screen love interest Andrew Garfield who plays Peter Parker is also her off screen love interest.  After the two fell in love on the set of The Amazing Spiderman they shortly becoming Hollywood's newest young couple.

Emma always had her heart set on the bright lights of Hollywood.

Emma: "When I was 14 years old, I made this PowerPoint presentation, and I invited my parents into my room and gave them popcorn. It was called "Project Hollywood 2004" and it worked. I moved to LA in January of 2004."

Three short years later Emma made her movie debut in the 2007 comedy Superbad. She followed this with comedic roles in The House Bunny and Easy A. After a small cameo in Friends with Benefits in 2011 she co-starred with Hollywood hottie Ryan Gosling in Crazy Stupid Love.

Last September Emma followed in the foot steps of Cindy Crawford, Halle Berry and Jessica Alba as Revlon's newest brand ambassador. Appearing in Revlon print ads and commercials for the new Colorburst Lip Butter & PhotoReady Airbrush Mousse Makeup.

In May Emma joined fellow brand ambassadors Olivia Wilde and Halle Berry to host the Entertainment Industry Foundation Revlon Run/Walk for Women. The event was held in New York City and Los Angeles to support  women's cancer research. Emma's mother is a breast cancer survivor so this cause is very important to her.

Emma: "Like too many others, my life has been touched by cancer, so the EIF Revlon Run/Walk is very close to heart and a big reason why I wanted to become a Revlon Ambassador. I am truly honoured and excited to be part of this inspirational event and to walk side-by-side in unity with the other participants in our fight to find a cure for women's cancers."

"You're only human. You live once and life is wonderful so
eat the dam red velvet cupcake."
Emma Stone

Although it seems that Emma is one of Hollywood's newest it girls, she still remains very grounded and down to earth. The ex Farmville addict recently detoxed herself from social media sites like Twitter and Facebook.

Emma: "I used to do Facebook but you get a little too wrapped up in that stuff. It's more distracting than anything so I don't any more. I left it behind. I detoxed!"

"Going to see movies and the entertainment industry. It sounds stupid, but that's pretty much what I do."
Emma Stone

Whether she's making us laugh on the cinema screen or posing for the latest beauty campaign it's very obvious that Miss Emma Stone is certainly one of Hollywood hottest young actresses. And we can confidently say without needing a crystal ball that she has a very bright future ahead of her.

MUSIC: Fabienne Costa

Werewolf
Fabienne Costa

We first introduced you to Italo-Australian singer/song writer Fabienne Costa back in April as our featured Glamour Gal and we have been following her musical journey ever since. This week Fabienne premiered her first official music video for her brand new original song "Werewolf"

"I wrote "Werewolf" in the Snowy Alps of Takayama, Japan at the end of last year. When I arrived in Australia I finished writing the song and I wrote the music. I knew I wanted to create a music video to it, however was unsure how to go about it as I wanted something creative and of high quality. I was then approached by an incredible Australian director/producer who wanted to shoot my music video. It was such a great experience and I'm so thankful."

ELLIE GONSALVES: Warrior Goddess

Ellie Gonsalves
WILDLIFE WARRIOR

We first featured Ellie Gonsalves filming her Wildlife Warriors Photo Shoot last October. The final campaign images have just been released online. So we are thrilled to share these amazing new photos of Ellie Gonsalves from her official Wildlife Warriors awareness campaign.

Australia ZooThe Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital & the Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors are a team of passionate individuals working as a team around the clock to protect wildlife & to deliver an animal experience like no other while educating visitors from all around the world on wildlife conservation.

"My desire to support the Wildlife Warriors program came after having the chance to walk through the Zoo & not just experience encounters with the animals but finding out what Australia Zoo, The Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital & the Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors program is REALLY about. I was fortunate enough to have a tour of the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital where they rely purely on donations from the public & funding from the Zoo to operate. This is where my heartstrings were pulled & I wanted to some how do something to help this cause and being apart of change around the world I want to see."

Asian elephants are smaller than their African cousins, and are sadly endangered, with just 30,000 to 40,000 individuals remaining in wild habitats of South-East Asia. Asian elephants can live up to 60 years in the wild and 80 years in captivity, and top the scales between two to five tonnes!

Koalas vary in size and colour depending on where they live, with northern koalas smaller and lighter. Sadly, the south-eastern Queensland koala population is nearing extinction, with many threats to the species including loss of habitat, car hits, domestic pet attacks, and disease.

Kangaroos are the world’s largest marsupial, and carry their young in a pouch while hopping on their hind legs and using their strong tails for balance. Kangaroos are one of only a few Australian animals not able to walk backwards, and appear alongside the emu on the Australian coat of arms.

Carpet pythons are non-venomous and harmless to humans, and can reach lengths of up to 3.5 meters. There are six sub-species ranging from tropical to arid habitats along coastal Australia, each with their own unique colourings and markings.

The Wildlife Warrior bikini (pictured above) reflects & was inspired by Ellie's passion for wildlife conservation. Look wildly sexy while doing your part for the worlds wildlife conservation efforts with 10% of the profits of Ellie's Wildlife Warriors bikini going towards the Wildlife Warriors charity!

The southern white rhinoceros is the second largest land mammal on earth, and are actually grey in colour. Their name is a misinterpretation of the Afrikaans word “weit”, which means “wide”, used to describe their large lips used for grazing the grassy savannahs of southern Africa.

The Aldabran tortoise is the largest species of land tortoise in the world, growing up to one metre tall and weighing up to 300kg. They live on the island of Aldabra in the Indian Ocean, off the east coast of Africa, with small populations being introduced to surrounding islands to ensure the vulnerable species’ survival.

"Australia Zoo is the ultimate wildlife adventure that also delivers a conservation message through exciting and fun education. This is why I felt compelled to become a Wildlife Warrior and Ambassador for Australia Zoo. It's a dream come true for me and I feel so proud and fortunate to be able to now be sharing this journey and making a positive change in this world."
